Some users have encountered trouble getting their Mini Effect Gizmo X to communicate with a Mac that has USB C ports. There appears to be some compatibility issue involving to USB C, where the Mac isn't shifting to the lower USB 2 speed the Mini Effect Gizmo uses. We've found certain solutions that will work reliably:

1). Use a USB C cable that's limited to USB 2.0 speeds (480Mbps). This is an example of one:

2). Connect a USB hub to your Mac, then connect a USB A to USB C cable from the hub to the Mini Effect Gizmo X.

Either one of these solutions will work, and this will not cause any loss of performance.
